Senior Town Planner

Cornwall Planning Group is a well-established multidisciplinary practice seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join their ever-growing team in the office at Hayle Cornwall. The practice has dedicated teams within planning and architecture who work in various sectors, including Residential, Education, Heritage and Commercial.

As part of the Planning team, the successful Town Planner will be working directly with high-profile clients offering planning advice, consultation and services. The successful Town Planner will lead and support the team, prioritising workload and ensuring projects are delivered within pre-agreed deadlines.

Town Planner Position Overview

Working on a wide variety of projects, including Residential, Commercial, Educational, Heritage and Commercial
Liaising with clients directly
Attending meetings and site visits
Leading and overseeing a team
Managing workload and meeting set deadlines
Planning Appeal Submissions

Senior Town Planner Requirements

Degree qualified within a relevant subject
Working towards Chartership with the RTPI or MRTPI status
3 – 5 years experience within the industry
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage workload and time frames

Senior Structural Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Structural Engineer to join our multi discipline practise of Architects, Town Planners and Chartered Technicians . This is a unique chance to contribute your expertise while actively participating in the growth and development of a well established Company in Cornwall.

Based in Cornwall, we operate across Devon and Cornwall, focusing on diverse projects in residential and commercial sectors. From small domestic alterations to large-scale, multi-million-pound ventures in captivating locations, they are at the forefront of innovation and creativity in structural engineering.

As a key team member, you will undertake detailed structural design and analysis of elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. Your role involves collaborating directly with architects and fellow design team members to overcome design challenges and meet project deadlines.

Senior Structural Engineer Requirements

The right candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3-4 years post graduation experience following completion of a degree recognised by the IStructE or ICE.
Experience with design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Robot etc. will be beneficial. Our team of Technicians work with AutoCAD and Revit, and a good working knowledge of the software will be advantageous.
Working independently as well as part of a team, depending on the project.
A driving license and own transport are essential.
Strong communication and presentation skills
