Rosemorran Farm
The owners of Rosemorran Farm wanted their property to be environmentally friendly and visually stunning, without compromising its viability as a genuine family home. A remote yet ambitious detached farmhouse in West Penwith, our plans looked to incorporate the valleys the site inhabits as much as possible.
Combining white render walls, natural slate roofing and horizontal cedar cladding, the exterior of the house is visually striking yet complimentary to the surrounding countryside. Solar panels adorn the roof of Rosemorran Farm, capitalising on its beautifully Cornish location whilst keeping the property environmentally minded. The footprint of the house is intentionally simple within the plot, to maximise the naturally breathtaking views and practicality of the outside space.
Similarly, the interior of the house was orientated around these stunning views, with extensive south facing windows and bi-fold doors allowing the space to fill with natural light. Rooms were also kept as open plan as possible, particularly the joint kitchen and dining space, bringing the property into symmetry with its expansive surroundings.
“Chris’s firm does not just draw plans for houses; they bring you through a process, a process of designing your dream home. They listened, understood, and interpreted what we really wanted.” – Mr & Mrs G Rodda
