Longview
St Agnes is an absolutely stunning village on the north coast of Cornwall. It sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage site, which always makes things that little bit trickier when it comes to planning permission. Even so, Cornwall Planning Group managed to secure construction of an absolutely incredible new build detached dwelling – the finished product was the beautiful Longview.
The clients wanted a practical home, that was easy on the eye and fit into its natural surroundings. Using a combination of timber cladding and white render walls along with a natural slate roof, it suits both the countryside and a seaside town. It really does have the best of both worlds. The property was kitted out perfectly to work as a home or holiday home, including an outdoor shower to entice guests to remove sand in the garden, rather than inside. A struggle all holiday home owners deal with on a weekly basis!
Every consideration was taken into account at the design stage to enhance the second-to-none panoramic view over St Agnes. You can gaze out across the rolling countryside and spot the fascinating tin mines – such a beautiful vista. We included double height glazing and lengthy bi-fold doors, to show off the views as much as possible.
“I have used Cornwall Planning Group for several years always finding them efficient, competitively priced and easy to deal with. For this new build house in St Agnes they provided planning services, building regulation drawings and approval and a 10 year building warranty.” – Simon Winn
