A stunning Grade 2 listed property, originally constructed circa 1840, Meadowside House’s owner approached Cornwall Planning Group with the opportunity to design a single storey orangery summer room extension for the property.

With its many period features, including pre-existing outbuildings, any plans we produced would have to be architectural continuations of the property. Proposing a build that included bespoke wood joining, beaded arch windows and a low pitch roof, our plans created a perfect sanctuary to enjoy the mature gardens that surround the property.

This also allowed the orangery to easily fall within the potentially restrictive planning permission regulations, whilst ensuring aesthetic and structural continuity. Spacious yet elegant, our plans ensured the build could be used for a multitude of purposes – from entertaining to private study – as it still is today.
